In November 2024, First Choice Allied Health were awarded a Peer Support and Capacity Building Grant by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
This is a two-year grant to support culturally and linguistically diverse clients who are not eligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). This is an important achievement, and provides us with valuable financial resources to increase and extend the support we provide to this group of clients.
One of our first initiatives using the grant is to conduct Free ADHD Screening to eligible individuals. ADHD affects around 1 in 20 Australians and has a spectrum of symptoms, with severity levels mild, moderate and severe. Early identification can help families and individuals to seek appropriate support to manage symptoms and dramatically improve quality of life.
First Choice Allied Health will conduct Free ADHD Screening on the following dates in 2025:
Friday 2 May,
Friday 23 May,
Friday 6 June,
Friday 20 June, and
Friday 4 July.
Our team will be in contact to discuss eligibility, which is based on the answers provided.
